Williamsons is a great tournament allowing our highest handicapper’s compete with our lowest players, due to our handicap system which made the games very competitive.
Starting on Wednesday 8th May we had 6 groups consisting of 4 players with the winner and runner up + 4 lucky losers going through to the last 16.
Some great group stages as shown below, with Paul Hetherington and John Jillings battling all the way to the final.
Paul played skilfully all day – giving away at least 1 serve and banned tambour in every game.
In the final which was a 31 difference, John took an early lead 6-3. Paul managed to bring it back to 6 all but John pipped him to the post by beating Paul 8/6.
